I helped Eckerd College Professor w a vegetative survey of this island back in 2010 when I worked for Tampa Bay Aquatic Preserves. I know some of the history of the island. I can’t recall if it has freshwater in interior but damn the mosquitoes get bad. People need to NOT go into interior when mosquitoes are bad cause they follow them out and ruin fun for everyone ;-), Libby
